HOW TO: Make a Facebook Event
Follow this step-by-step guide to creating an Event in your Hagerty Drivers Club group.
From your Hagerty Drivers Club Chapter page, click on Events tab on your Facebook group main page.
STEP 1
In the box that says “Upcoming Events,” click on the “Create event” button
STEP 2
Click the “Edit” button with the pencil icon and then click “Upload,” following the prompts to swap in a unique photo that represents your event!
STEP 3
Write the name of your event (i.e., “Trivia Tailgate”)
STEP 4
Write the date of your event in the “start date” window, as well as the starting time; also verify the time zone for your event. Click on “+ End date and time” and fill in the ending date and time
STEP 5

Select whether the event is in-person or virtual
STEP 7
Add the location of the event by entering its address. The correct location may pop up by name, just be sure to verify that the specific address is accurate!
Enter the name of the venue you have booked, a street address for a backyard barbeque, etc. If the event is virtual, select whether it is a Facebook Live event, or if you need to include an external link, i.e., a link to your scheduled Zoom or Google Hangouts event.
Ensure that your Facebook group for your Hagerty Drivers Club chapter is selected
STEP 8
Next to the words “Invite all group members,” click on the button until it slides to the right and its path turns blue
STEP 9
In the window that reads “What are the details?” write a simple event description—we suggest using the easy, fun Facebook Template Invite!
STEP 10
Click on “Create event”
